Equations Are Forever
What is it with Hollywood these days? Everything is predictable, clockwork. Explosions, villains with scars, nothing new. And everything has turned into an action movie. Even the science movies are all about action. Most scientists aren’t action heroes, in fact, most just want to sit in their lab and forget that the rest of the world exists. They certainly don’t want to run around saving it. Especially not wearing tights and a cape. Who wears capes anymore? Just stereotypical boring superheroes. What happened to the nice sweater vest and crumpled button down? And what would happen if action heroes spoke in science lexicon and sat around with cold coffee? Audiences would say that the character isn’t realistic. So, why isn’t the public complaining about astrophysicists defusing bombs? Astrophysics doesn’t even have anything to do with bombs. It’s about the way extraterrestrial objects move! Movies aren’t all about kisses or explosions. Sometimes I want to sit and listen to scientists discover antimatter and supernovae. Hollywood is becoming so one note. Add some variety. Add some pizzazz. Add more sweater vests.
