            The human eye is easily deceived. Pulled taffy becomes lines on a page, and black lines curve as you spin. Eyes are so easily deceived, our least trustworthy sense. People in the desert dream of water, and they see it before them. Snow falls from cloudless skies and who hasn’t had a dream? Eyes are fallible, just like humans themselves. The eye is a representation of the person. If an eye can be wrong, so can a person. Those mistakes may leave devastating consequences. Eyes see things incorrectly; humans make the wrong choices. And so, humanity has oppressed itself, destroyed its environment, attacked innocent people. They have found one fact and acted without see the picture. Just as an eye that sees only one detail makes a small detail into something it’s not. Something that looks like piles of hair, but turns out to be soap, on a New York window.
